Auckland Transport Eastern Busway Community engagement

The Eastern Busway will connect Botany, Pakuranga and the surrounding suburbs to the rail network in Panmure.

When the busway is complete, you’ll be able to travel by bus and train between Botany and Britomart in 40 minutes, which is 20 minutes quicker than now.

The busway will be supported by Panmure Station, new stations at Pakuranga and Botany with 3 interim stations, cycling and walking connections, urban design enhancements, revitalised town centres, and initiatives to improve traffic flow.

The Reeves Road flyover between Pakuranga Road and Waipuna Bridge will reduce traffic congestion in the Pakuranga town centre and improve journey time and reliability.

Consultation on the Pakuranga to Botany section of the project is taking place in November and December 2021, first with landowners and then with the broader community.

New housing boost for Henderson

An exciting new housing development is rising in Henderson. Known as Henderson Green, 38 high-quality townhouses have already been constructed, and will soon be joined by three apartment buildings containing 78 apartments.

Located within easy walking distance of multiple schools, fast and frequent public transport connections, parks, eateries, shops and everything else the town centre has to offer, the new houses in Henderson Green will empower residents to live a low-carbon lifestyle.

Working alongside our development partner Brilliant Stone, Eke Panuku has turned unused council land into a mix of housing to provide much needed new homes for people, close to key local destinations. These new homes are part of our ongoing mission to regenerate Henderson into a flourishing eco-centre where sustainability is embraced and harnessed as part of daily life.
