Government Launches Sweeping Resource Management Consultations

Auckland Council Adopts New Development Contributions Policy

Auckland Council's Governing Body approved a new Development Contributions Policy, effective July 1, 2025. This policy dictates how developers contribute to the infrastructure required for new growth. Notably, average contributions in five key "investment priority areas" like Tāmaki and Drury will be set at $48,000 per household equivalent for 2025/2026, with other areas averaging $20,000.
